![]() I think I've narrowed down the phono stage to a Heed Quasar and the pre-amp a Quicksilver Linestage. The only thing I have at this point is a 3k turntable custom built by Dave over at Vinyl Nirvana (AR w/Merrill upgrades, SME-2 arm, and Dynavector 17D3) now, I need to buy a phono stage, pre-amp, and power amp, so you'll probably see me post some questions on those as well. My problem is that this is my first venture into audiophile components and I'm doing it all it once. I then joined the Decware Forum and read the entire chain about the Torii Jr (and saw your comments - and I hear what you're saying - you got to jump off the upgrade merry-go-round at some point and start enjoying the music), and while I'm attracted to the Jr's price, from what I read, I think I'd like the Torii Mk IV. Then he told me about the Torii Jr that will be posted in a few days and suggested that might be another option I could consider. Oddly enough, I spoke with Steve yesterday and he has heard the QS Mini-Mites said they sound clinical compared to the Torii. Click to expand. Thanks Lon - that's good to hear and gives me hope about the Klipsch's because I really love them (only after I rebuilt the horn drivers with Bob Crites' titanium diaphragms).
